Whilst working at Broody, I was tasked with redesigning the website (both a desktop and mobile version) for our client Rollr, a sustainable and refillable roll-on deodorant brand.

I tackled this brief largely independently, creating a range of new static and motion assets (based upon the updated brand visual guidelines developed by Mother Design), all of which keep in line with the brand’s visual and tonal themes of fluidity and sensuality. The new website layout was designed through numerous iterations of wireframing and frequent discussions with the client 1-on-1 about how best to streamline navigation and convey key brand information. I was also able to use my 3D modelling skills to render individual components of the product for use where needed across the site, particularly with the gemstones.

During this task, I also taught myself the fundamentals of coding on Shopify-hosted sites to produce desired layout outcomes, as well as some more advanced processes where necessary, such as adjustments to layout, sizing and elements when transitioning from a desktop to a mobile view. For areas that involved a large amount of advanced coding, I instead oversaw the work of an experienced web coder, providing them with visual references and assets, followed by meetings to direct any necessary adjustments. Similarly, due to time constraints, I also collaborated with a 3D animator in order to develop a new header visual for the site.
